Legal
Everything that governs a Pocket Docket subscription, in plain language wherever plain language will do the job. All of it is in force from 21 August 2026.
If you only read one, read what Pocket Docket is and what it is not.
Your contract
- Terms of service
The contract between Pocket Docket Ltd and the business that subscribes.
- Consumer terms and cancellation rights
Where the customer is an individual — a sole trader, for example — the additional statutory rights that may apply.
- Cancellation and refund policy
How to stop, when it takes effect, and the 14-day money-back guarantee.
- Service description and scope
Schedule 2 to the terms — what you are buying, in detail, and what sits outside it.
- Acceptable use policy
What you may and may not do with the service. Short on purpose.
Your data
- Privacy notice
Who we are, what personal data we collect, why, on what legal basis, for how long, and the rights you have over it.
- Data processing terms
Schedule 1 — the Article 28 terms covering personal data inside your own accounting records.
- Sub-processors
Every third party that touches data on our behalf, what each one receives, and where.
- Cookie statement
Two cookies, both strictly necessary, and why there is no cookie banner.
- Security statement
What actually protects your accounting data, in enough detail to be judged rather than taken on trust.
The service
- What Pocket Docket is, and what it is not
The boundary between software that explains your numbers and professional advice. Read this one even if you read nothing else.
- Support and availability
What support you get, and what we do and do not promise about the service being available.
- Website terms of use
For reading the website. Not the subscription contract — that is the terms of service.
- Anti-bribery policy
Our position, what counts, and the risk this business actually has.
For accountants
- Referral partner agreement
The agreement for accountants and bookkeepers who introduce customers to us.
- Client disclosure and consent notice
Schedule 2 to the partner agreement — the notice a partner must give their client before introducing them.
- Your professional obligations as a partner
What your professional body requires of you, and the four things we ask.
Complaints
- Make a complaint
Complain to us electronically about how we handle personal data. Every complaint is logged the moment it arrives and acknowledged within 30 days.
